Qi Gong

Qi Gong is a 5.000-year-old art form of movement, rooted in martial arts and used as a practice for mind-body-spirit.My Qi Gong classes are a sequence of flowing movements that help increase overall mobility and functionality. Qi Gong movement forms have their roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine TCM and working on activating and clearing the meridian energy channels. Functionally, it involves a lot of myofascial fascia release and supports your bodies supple movements.

Some of these sequences can challenge your brain, as we often move our arms opposite to each other (e.g. one arm moves up, the other one down) But don’t worry, we will keep it fun.

Practising these ‘opposing’ movements creates new neuronal connections in your brain. This helps with a more functional use of your musculoskeletal system. This can help improve coordination and reduce the risk of injuries.

The aim of a regular practice is to support biochemical processes in the body, support the lymphatic system, work on the fascia and create new neuronal connections in the brain. This enables the body to strengthen and regulate the internal organs, the nervous system and the immune system, relieve pain, regulate hormones, and as a stress reliever.
